تدعو وزارة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية والتعاون الدولي،
وبرنامج الأغذية العالمي التابع للأمم المتحدة، الشركات
الناشئة التي لديها حلول مُبتكرة للمناخ وتعمل
في مصر، للتقدم بطلب للحصول على منحة لدعم
الابتكارات ميسورة التكلفة والشاملة وعالية التأثير،
التي تعزز التكيف مع المناخ والأمن الغذائي.
يستفيد هذا التعاون من مسابقة ClimaTech Run العالمية التي تنظمها مصر لدعم رواد الأعمال والمبتكرين، بهدف معالجة التحديات الأكثر إلحاحًا في مجال المناخ والأمن الغذائي في البلاد.
يحظى برنامج “تسريع الابتكار في التكيف مع المناخ” (CAIAP) بدعم من صندوق التكيف التابع للأمم المتحدة، وهو جزء من شراكة لبرنامج “تسريع الابتكار في التكيف مع المناخ” (AFCIA) مع برنامج “تسريع الابتكار” التابع لبرنامج الأغذية العالمي في ميونيخ.
يستهدف برنامج “تسريع الابتكار في التكيف مع المناخ” رواد الأعمال والشركات الناشئة والشركات والمنظمات غير الحكومية في مصر والأردن ولبنان، ممن يعملون على إيجاد حلول لمواجهة تحديات الأمن الغذائي والتكيف مع المناخ.
ستحصل المقترحات الناجحة على التوجيه والدعم العملي وفرصة المشاركة في عمليات برنامج الأغذية العالمي، بالإضافة إلى منح تصل إلى 200 ألف دولار أميركي. لمزيد من التفاصيل حول شروط وأحكام الجائزة، تفضل بزيارة الموقع الإلكتروني.
تتعاون وزارة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية والتعاون الدولي مع برنامج الأغذية العالمي للوصول إلى مشاريع مناخية مبتكرة من خلال شبكة ClimaTech Run، والتي تم إطلاقها في الفترة التي سبقت مؤتمر الأطراف COP27، وتضم رواد أعمال في مجال التكنولوجيا وفنانين رقميين.
تقول وزيرة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية والتعاون الدولي، معالي الدكتورة رانيا المشاط: “إن تمكين الشركات الناشئة ومشاركة القطاع الخاص من المحركات الرئيسية للابتكار والتنمية الاقتصادية وتسريع التقدم نحو أهداف التنمية المستدامة. بالتعاون مع برنامج الأغذية العالمي، سيعمل البرنامج على دعم وتوسيع نطاق الابتكار المناخي في مصر، وإطلاق العنان لقوة مبادرات العمل المناخي المحلية من خلال شراكات متعددة الأطراف. في السنوات القليلة الماضية، أطلقنا المسابقة الدولية ClimaTech Run والمستمرة حتى الآن، حيث استطاعت جذب أكثر من 422 شركة ناشئة من 77 دولة عبر القارات في نسختي المسابقة. اليوم، بعد وزارة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية والتعاون الدولي، نتطلع إلى مواصلة التزامنا تجاه تمكين الشركات الناشئة المدفوعة بالبيئة والتي تقودها التكنولوجيا من خلال مبادرات متنوعة، مثل برنامج تسريع الابتكار في مجال التكيف مع تغير المناخ.”
يقول رئيس برنامج تسريع الابتكار في التكيف مع المناخ، برنهارد كواتش: “إن إطلاق البرنامج هو شهادة قوية على أن الابتكار أمر بالغ الأهمية لمعالجة انعدام الأمن الغذائي وتغير المناخ. تمثل هذه الشراكة فصلاً مهمًا في نضالنا من أجل مستقبل آمن غذائيًا في عالم سريع التغير.”
من جهته يقول ممثل ومدير مكتب برنامج الأغذية العالمي في مصر، چان بيير دومارچوري: “نحن فخورون بالعمل مع وزارة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية والتعاون الدولي، ودعم إطلاق البرنامج في مصر وتسخير قوة الابتكارات المحلية لتوفير حلول مستدامة وملموسة للمناخ والأمن الغذائي. بالنسبة لبلد مثل مصر متأثر بالمناخ المتطرف وغني بالابتكارات المحلية والشراكات الاستراتيجية بين القطاعين العام والخاص، فإن هذا التحدي يوفر دفعة للحلول المستدامة. تتوافق هذه الشراكة بقوة مع مهمتنا المشتركة لضمان الأمن الغذائي للجميع وتساهم فيها.”
في العام الماضي، أطلق برنامج الأغذية العالمي خطته الاستراتيجية 2023-2028 في مصر، والتي تركز على مجالات تعزيز الأمن الغذائي، بما في ذلك التنمية الزراعية والريفية في صعيد مصر. في أبريل 2024، زارت الوزيرة رانيا المشاط وممثلو برنامج الأغذية العالمي مشاريع في أسوان مخصصة لتنمية المجتمع وتعزيز القدرات وتعزيز فرص توظيف الشباب والتدريب المهني.

*WFP & EGYPT’S MINISTRY OF PLANNING, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION ANNOUNCE INNOVATION PROGRAMME TO STRENGTHEN FOOD SECURITY IN A CHANGING CLIMATE*
CAIRO – The United Nations (UN) World Food Programme (WFP) and the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation are inviting start-ups with climate innovation solutions that are operational in Egypt to apply for a grant to support affordable, inclusive and high-impact innovations that enhance climate adaptation and food security.
The collaboration capitalises on Egypt’s ClimaTech Run global competition that supports entrepreneurs and innovators with the aim of addressing the most pressing climate and food security challenges in the country.
The ‘Climate Adaptation Innovation Accelerator Programme’ (CAIAP) programme, is supported by the UN Adaptation Fund and is part of the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator’ (AFCIA) partnership with the WFP Innovation Accelerator in Munich.
The programme targets entrepreneurs, start-ups, companies, and non-governmental organizations in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon that work on solutions to meet distinct food security and climate adaptation challenges.
Successful proposals will receive mentorship, hands-on support, and access to WFP operations in addition to grants of up to US$200,000. For more details on the award’s terms and conditions, visit the website.
The Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation is joining efforts with WFP to reach innovative climate ventures through its ClimaTech Run network, established in the run-up to COP27, and comprise tech entrepreneurs and digital artists.
Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat said: “Empowering startups and private sector participation are key drivers for innovation, economic development and accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. In cooperation with WFP, the CAIAP will support and help scaling up high-potential climate innovation in Egypt, unlocking the power of local climate action initiatives through multi-stakeholder partnerships. In the last few years, we launched the global ClimaTech Run and to date, we’ve reached over 422 startups from 77 countries across continents in the competition’s 2 editions. Today, as the newly merged Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, we look forward to continuing our commitment towards empowering green-driven and tech-led startups through diverse initiatives, such as CAIAP.”

Last year, WFP launched its 2023-2028 strategic plan in Egypt that focuses on areas to enhance food security, including agricultural and rural development in Upper Egypt. In April 2024, Minister Al-Mashat and WFP representatives visited projects in Aswan dedicated to community development, capacity strengthening, enhancement of youth employability and vocational training.
